As A Child At Play

A little tiny girl
Dreams in a world of her own
That someday she will be beautiful
When she is grown

She can't see the years
That lay in between
As now she is old
In the world it seems

She still lives and dreams
In little girl ways
Just like she did
In her very young days

Even today when she is tired
And down and out
She smiles at the twinkle
Of what a child's life is about

An aging woman
Lives in the world today
And dreams back to her life
As a child at play
