A Vision In My Mind

I want to go to the ocean today.

It's a vision in my mind.

I want to see the seagulls,

and feel the waves and wind combined.

I want to feel the sand

gushing between my toes,

and let the sun touch my skin

where it hasn't been exposed.

I want to see the waves

slapping upon the shore,

and feel the water thrush

on the sandy ocean floor.

All of a sudden I open my eyes,

and look out the window pane.

All I see before me

is sleet, and snow, and rain.

Then I find out what it was.

Me just dreaming in my mind.

I wasn't really in Florida,

with those lucky friends of mine...

?????
