Every once in a while
Comes someone special to love

An unexplained gift
From the Lord up above

This gift is a rarity
A once in a lifetime gift

You can't believe the joy
And happiness they give

So very often
We let things slide on by

We never try to be thankful
Utill we are left high and dry

We never notice or care
Until someone is gone

Then we cry our hearts out
When it's time to move on

I hope this never happens

When we love someone
We say what "they" did to us

When "we" break the trust
