My Special Gift
Every once in a while
comes someone special to love.

An unexplained gift
from the Lord up above.

This gift is a rarity,
a once in a lifetime gift.

You can't believe the joy
and happiness they give.

So very often,
we let things slide on by.

We never try to be thankful
utill we are left high and dry.

We never notice or care
until someone is gone.

Then we cry our hearts out
when it's time to move on.

I hope this never happens
with me and with you.

I'm going to try my best
in all that I do.

To be without you,
would for sure be a sin.

You keep my heart
in this perpetual spin.

When we love someone,
we say what "they" did to us.

Then we say nothing
when "we" break the trust.

I don't want to live that way
baby with you.

I can tell you love me
the same way too.

I'm telling you my feelings,
right from the start.

I don't want to live without you,
and have a broken heart.

I'm more than thankful
that you are my love.
