Grains of sand
upon the shore,
slip into waves and fall
to the oceans floor.
Currents come
and toss them back.
It's anyones guess
as to where they'll stop at.
Will rushing tides
toss them out to sea,
or bring them back to shore
where the seagulls fly free?
Swishing waves
twirl round and round.
They crash to shore
with a deafening sound.
The beauty of the sea,
its calming ways.
Sandy, swirling water,
what a lovely couple they make!
