Just Looking Back |
The snow was blinding On that Winter day We didn't care And kept steadily on our way Creeping along the road The sun gave no rays Time didn't matter We had so much to say We spoke of our lives From beginning to end What we did now And what we did then Driving on and on The whole day sped Laughing and happy Round each new bend Our first trip together Two kids in our minds On a Winter journey To see what we'd find So much in love We were almost blind A love like this Was of a different kind Finally out of the car On that cold snowy night We sat in a bar By a dim fire-light So intensely deep Our love reached new heights This time together Was happy and bright We drove on to Paradise And spent the night The next day, White Fish Bay A most beautiful sight Everything we did Seemed just exactly right There in that wonderland Of pure clean white So often now I think back to then That place we spent the night Was a Heaven send When my heart feels sad And needs to mend I just think back to you...
