Sometimes little children
Get awakened in the night

They have no choice but to
Hear Mommy and Daddy fight

They lay there shaking
In their little beds

As they pull the covers
Up over their heads

Mommy and Daddy
Idols, in their children's eyes

Now the child is scared
And silently cries

The child hears screaming,
Yelling, and unknown words

After this, his tender spirit
Just turns inwards

Mom and Dad
The night was made for love

It's to share with each other
From the Lord above

Tend to your children
And watch them sleep

Love one another
So that happiness you reap

Vow to each other
On the day you are wed

Not to let foolish arguements
Enter your bed

Before you go to bed each night
Watch Your child sleep in tender delight

Count your blessings
And make a guarentee

To live a good life of examples
For your children to see
