Here in the moonlight

I have memories of you.

Of you, holding my hand

just like you use to do.

The look in your eyes

still pierces my soul.

Somehow without you

I just cannot feel whole.

Here in the moonlight

I think you are here.

You wrap your arms around me

and pull me near.

The corners of my eyes

fill with tiny tears.

Most of all,

I know you will never appear.

I wonder what went wrong.

Will you come back to me

where you belong?

I wish for my sake

I could really be strong.

for just ever so long.

I walk on all alone.

Once I knew love like

no other I have known.
