Take Me To The Lighthouse
Take me to the lighthouse
upon the sandy shore.
I've heard so many stories,
I yearn to know her more.
After all the storms she's been through
she stands so straight and tall.
So many ships she's saved from wrecks
while some she couldn't save at all.
I want to know each crack
and all her crevices too.
I want to know her history.
Who came and went and who was who.
The secrets of a lighthouse
have a tale to tell.
Beaming through years of days and nights,
the sailors knew her well.
A lighthouse is a treasure,
a fleeting image of times from the past.
Her picture is carved upon my heart
and will forever last and last!
