Oh such magical moments of pleasure, she had never known that there could be a feeling of happiness like this. Finally, at her age she had found everything she had ever hoped and dreamed of. In her wildest imagination, she had never known that this kind of happiness could exist. I love you so darling she whispered, as she gazed into his eyes. The music they shared held her captive in the moment. I will leave you he replied! Oh she beamed, don't tease me that way. I cannot believe that I have been so happy these days with you. It is not a dream. It is a wish come true bestowed upon me, a beautiful once in a lifetime wish and dream come true! They giggled and danced, and snuggled close, and talked for hours into the night. Their nightly practice as a matter of fact. Long, loving nights, filled with contentment and love. Peace filled their hearts and souls. Soul mates born onto each other, a blessing sent from within the golden gates of Heaven. As with every night, they drifted off into sleep together, sharing dreams of love, long and deep into the night. Monday once again, and the day sent her to a new town, a new meeting, and a new hotel. This time the week passed so slowly. She was beside herself missing Tim. Their closeness made her not want to go on these business trips anymore. She had done trips for so long, but that was when it didn't really matter. She didn't have anyone to love then. But now, finally now she had the ultimate love of her life. She was convinced that she would live forever with no one. Life was worth more than it ever was now. Thursday night she had a glass of wine while she packed her bags. Tomorrow she would be back home again. Back into the arms of the man she loved. Her heart raced, and she felt so content and happy. The hours were ticking down. She was excited beyond belief! This time though, she was going to tell her boss that these trips were going to end. He was going to have to find himself another person for this job. She wanted, and needed a real life. She was on the verge of everything she yearned for. Tim was at the gate. She flew into his arms. He kissed her so long, so tenderly, so perfect in every way. They walked arm in arm to get her luggage. They chatted like school kids along the way. Then all the way to the car, then all the way home. Just the kind of conversation she loved, and had dreamed of having with someone all her life. They pulled into the drive. Tim said, get out! Get out, what do you mean get out she replied? He said, I'm not coming in. You go on in, I am leaving you! I told you I would. You are just too nice of a woman. You would do anything I wanted. I cannot take it anymore. You make me sick! Tears were flowing. I don't understand, what do you mean? I love you so....begging, pleading, it must be a dream, a nightmare! Get out, get out now! I don't want to be with you anymore. No one has ever been able to settle me down, no one can tame me, and you won't either. Get out! Just get out right now! She slid across the seat, opened the door, gasping in disbelief and horror. She didn't even know this man. This was not the Tim she had ever known before. Somehow she managed to get out. Her legs were jelly. Tim looked the other way. She ran, she ran as fast as she could to the door. She threw her things down, and fumbled for the key. The door finally flung opened. She turned and looked back, Tim was already out of the drive and speeding up the street. The realization that he was gone and out of sight struck a blow upon her heart. Standing there for several minutes, she let the door close in shock and disbelief. The door slammed on yet another dream of a once in a lifetime wish. Or is it, that a once in a lifetime dream is non existant, and only lives in the hearts and the minds of people who so foolishly wish and dream that it can be a reality in this world we live in. Is there really such a thing as...a once in a lifetime love? |
