The Rarest Of Gifts
I lay beside you darling,
and watch you sleep tonight.
Tomorrow is Christmas morning,
I'm busting with delight.

I know you'll have some gifts,
underneath the tree for me.
Maybe a bracelet or earrings,
my goodness, what could it be?

But little do you know
my most precious gift is here,
you sleeping by my side tonight,
the one I hold so dear.

There is no more perfect gift,
not even diamonds or gold,
That could replace the bond of love
in a man and womans home.

My eyes close this peaceful night,
Christmas carols and dreams combine.
The Christmas gift most special of all,
the true love a man and woman find!

Merry Christmas my love!
