We Need A Prescription

We need a prescription

cause something is really wrong.

The world is in pain

and not very strong.

We all need a dose

at the very same time.

We need to put a stop to hate,

and all these vicious crimes.

The world is ill,

way out of control.

We all need comfort

within our hearts and souls.

It isn't one color,

it isn't one breed.

Just capture the moment,

let love and trust take the lead.

We are all posioned,

torn completely apart.

Events in the world

are breaking our hearts.

What can we do,

what can we say?

Start by passing out love

through out all of your days.

Here's the prescription.

Mix it well.

Take a big dose,

let hate completely dispel.

P...pray

R...rejoice

E...enlighten

S...sooth

C...comfort

R...reflect

I...inspire

P...plan

T...transpire

I...innovate

O...oblige

N...nourish

Stir all the words

in a simmering pot.

Make sure you stir it

lovingly and lots.

Just for good measure

throw in extra loving words,

all the sweetest ones

that you've always heard.

Now that we've taken

our prescription today,

let's let love flourish

every single day!
