When I reach the shore I inhale so very deep My eyes close in response My senses take a leap Taking several deep breaths The wind blows through my hair I sit upon the sand I smell the ocean air As the waves crash in My soul dances with delight Out far on the horizon I see a ship steaming out of sight My lungs expand The fragrant ocean air Turns my breathing into Quite the sensuous affair I lay here on the sand Just basking in the sun Watching the gulls fly overhead And clouds billowing one by one Every time I come here I know exactly why I came The ocean is a piece of Heaven Here on earth, it's just the same Come and share some time Sit here by my side The beauty and the mystery Will be our peaceful guide Enjoy the peace and quiet As it takes your breath away Tell everyone about the ocean How she captivated you that day Written by: S.
